Very Rare - large butter churn, in one family for the last 100 years!

Offered is this rare butter churn, made by "Sanborn Churn and Butter Worker, Montpelier, Vermont, No. 4" patented 1865. I believe this churn is not quite that old, but it definitely dates to the later 1800s. It is wooden and has two labels, its original churn inside and a fitted top.

This Churn is in excellent condition. It is much larger than most churns that have survived, as I bought it right out of a Warren County, NY farmhouse and it had been in the family since its purchase. It is a great piece for a primitive farmhouse, or to add some character to a newer home.
