Width 8 in.

The tall, rather narrowly-proportioned figure stands straight with his arms raised so that the hands meet in front of the chin as if in prayer, the left hand inside the right. Other than the headdress and elaborate ear spools, he is dressed with a necklace, a cape which falls to a rounded tip in back, three bracelets on each arm, a loincloth, and sandals with knots in front. The large conical headdress has a broad bottom band and is attached by a wide chin strap. A small double component hangs on the back of the conical element. The circular ear ornaments have long tubular projections thrusting forward.

Rather extensive breakage has been consolidated and repaired. There is a thermoluminescence report from Laboratory Ralf Kotalla (No. 07220303) indicating firing 1200 years before present with a 20% variable. A copy of this report will be available for inspection.

Provenance
Mr. Calderon, Los Angeles
Splendors of the World, Haiku, Hawaii.
