Five-track promotional album from Van Halen, issued by Warner Brothers for the release of the band's forthcoming self-titled debut record, signed on the sleeve in gold grease pencil by Michael Anthony, David Lee Roth, and Eddie and Alex Van Halen. The B-side of the clear red vinyl record features the rare "Looney Tunes Merrie Melodies" label with police officer Elmer Fudd. In very good to fine condition, with corner creasing, light edge wear, and some surface loss to the back cover. The record is included. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.

This album was released as a promotional item in advance of Van Halen's self-titled debut record and was distributed to radio station personnel and selected music press in January 1978. Also of note is that both the record and die-cut sleeve feature the original single name 'Vanhalen' logo used only on this promotional record. This album, which was eventually withdrawn due to the unauthorized use of the Elmer Fudd picture label, holds the distinction of being the first Van Halen album to be pressed. An incredibly scarce and early record elevated by a large cast of Van Halen signatures that predate their debut release.
