This is a beautiful heart shape decanter made circa 1918 by the Schramberger Factory in Wurttemberg, Germany. The design is of a peaceful country scene, a large Chalet in the mountains. This also includes one shot tumbler also painted with a bulding and mountains. The scene is in rich earth tones of browns, greens and yellows and probably takes place in the late evening. The tumbler is in excellent condition with no chips, flakes or cracks and marked "Germany". It is 1-3/4" tall and 1-1/2" in diameter at the rim and tapers down to 1" diameter at the bottom. The decanter has two very tiny surface flakes on the rim and one smaller than pin prick size in the body. It is 5" tall, 5" across and 2-1/2" deep. The cork in the neck used to have a metal plug with ring for removal but the metal piece is missing. This piece is marked "MAJOLIKA", "SMF" in a crest, "SCHRAMBERG" "Hundgmelt" (hand painted), number "19" under glaze and impressed No. "4152". The SMF in the Crest logo was used by Schrambereger beginning in 1918. The factory closed in 1989. There are no other chips, flakes, crazing or cracks.
