Paris, Hachette, 1863FIRST EDITION, pp (4), 565, with half-title, large 12mo, contemporary quarter calf over boards : little rubbed at corners but binding sound & strong, otherwise a very good copy.An uncommon first-hand account of the unsuccessful French expedition of 1854.
