Both are four page issues, 15" x 20.5" in size (disbound with pages partially attached at spine), and in excellent condition. As follows: <BR><B>July 18, 1863</B></I> - A page two report of the text of Lincoln's Proclamation of a Day of Thanksgiving to be celebrated on August 6th of that year, signed in type by Lincoln and Williams Seward. There is an article by famed abolitionist Wendell Phillips opposing Lincoln's policies and doubting his honesty. Also: an article about the New York draft riots; general war news; and interesting advertising. <BR><B>January 6, 1864</B></I> - The first and last pages are taken up with Governor Seymour's message as delivered to the State Legislature the previous day. There is a message from Lincoln (signed in type) to the Congress regarding the payment of bounties.
