<B><I>Utica NY Morning Herald and Daily Gazette</B></I></B></I> <B>- 1860 Pre-Election Newspaper</B></I> with front-page article about Lincoln. This long and detailed article taken from the New York Herald starts: "The New York Herald on Lincoln.-- Since it became certain that Abraham Lincoln is to be our next President, the New York Herald has despatched a special reporter to Springfield to pick up whatever he could, concerning 'the coming man.' Any one who has followed the course of the Herald during this campaign, will not need to be told that whatever prejudice there may be about its reports, is certainly not in Lincoln's favor..." This four page issue dated October 24th is 19" x 25" in size and is in fine condition save for one tiny 1" ad cut from the second page affecting no journalistic content.
