Jamaican sportsman, Usain Bolt (1986-), was first noticed by his high school physical education teacher who guided Bolt to his World Junior Championship win in the 200m Jamaica National Stadium. This was the beginning of a staggering career of global athletic dominance.
Bolt is the reigning world and Olympic record holder in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 x100 metres relay. He is the first man to hold both the 100 and 200 metres world and Olympic titles at the same time.
He has been honoured with awards, including Track & Field Athlete of the Year, Laureus Sportsman of the Year and the IAAF World Athlete of the Year. Unsurprisingly, the media have followed his career closely, giving him the nickname of 'Lightning Bolt'.
This 8" x 11" colour photographic print is signed by Bolt in thick black felt-tip pen. The imagery is taken from his 2008 wins at the Beijing Olympics. Above, a quote from Bolt is printed 'I just blew my mind and blew the world's mind'.
