Up Goes Maisie Ann Sothern Signed Lobby Card
In the 1940's the great comedian Ann Sothern created the much beloved character of Maisie, a "smarter-than-she-looks" blond who gets herself in and out of outrageous adventures. One of the all time favorites was "Up Goes Maisie" (1946), produced near the end of the 10 movie series at MGM, where Maisie finally graduates and gets her first job working for a firm that has developed a revolutionary helicopter-type airship. Of course she helps save the day as dirty businessmen try to steal the plans, which ends with the famous sequence of Maisie flying the copter in a wild chase over downtown Los Angeles, and landing smack dab in the middle of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena! This is an original theatrical Lobby Card from the movie, personally signed by Ann Sothern. It is in excellent condition and comes with a copy of a letter from Ann Sothern . There is a small fingerprint on the middle of the left hand boarder which does not affect the actual photo. Lobby card is 11"x14".
