Unusual three piece garniture circa about 1850 of Belgium or French origin showing single dueler/target pistol, pepperbox and ornate large dagger in French fitted velveteen lined rosewood case with brassinlay. The dueler/target pistol measures 13” overall with 7-1/4” octagon barrel of approx. 44 cal smooth bore. The pistol is half stocked in fluted ebony and shows a Damascus pattern on barrel. The lock andmounts are French gray finished. The pistol is in near fine original condition showing a Belgium proof on barrel and good quality thought out with lightly engraved mounts and lock. The pepperbox shows mariette brevetemarking on inner strap and is approx 38 cal, 6 shot, double action with ring trigger and ebony grips. The frame is engraved and barrels show a false Damascus pattern. The metal is French gray finished and shows alight natural patina with sharp edges and no cleaning. The pepperbox is numbered 2373 and condition is overall very good plus. The pepperbox measures 7-7/8” overall with 3-3/8” barrel group. The dagger is a 19th century
