Unusual pinfire knife pistol. Barrel marked “Eprouve”, 6-shot, 5.5 caliber, barrel measures approx. 5”, body of pistol 8-1/4” overall when folded, blade 6-5/8”. Weapon measures 14-5/8” from tip to tip with blade extended. The blade is fancily etched and shows center panel which reads “Exposicion Oll 1907 / N. Gesse, Esparteros C.” The metal surfaces show 20-30% original nickel drifting to a grayish brown patina, some light rust and erosion just starting and some minor pinprick pitting. The dark horn scales are good with one crack on the right side, some minor scratches, but generally very good overall. The blade is very good showing a light patina, no polishing, and its full dimension with a light brown patina. Both sides of the blade are fully etched. The biggest pinfire revolving knife pistol with folding blade we know of, obviously made for an exhibition, and possibly a unique oddity in the firearms curiosa field. Est: $3,000 -6000
