Unusual early U.S. Officer’s sword with horse head pommel remaining in good condition with scabbard included. The sword measures 37” overall with 32” blade and shows checkered bone grip. The blade has been lightly cleaned but still showsfairly crisp engraving with just some minor pitting. The brass mounted leather scabbard is in very good plus condition with just some slight aging to the leather and a nice even patina to the brass with trace of the original silver giltmatching to the hilt. These horse head American officer’s sabers are seldom encountered and always desirable. Est.: $3500-$7000
