Unusual Silver & Brass Inlaid Spurs
Extremely interesting and well-executed, early, double mounted spurs, showing characteristics of early California, Mexico, and even a little August Buermann. Front side features inlaid, double sawtooth, brass mountings, surrounding a tapered, engraved, silver inlay. The offside has a chevron pattern in silver and brass. The shank is very stylized in crescent moon, bottle opener style, holding a dense 2”-6 point iron rowel. The newer floral carved leathers adorned with a 2” scalloped, coin silver concho. Overall very good condition, circa mid-to-late 19th century.
