Unusual Mid-19th Century Engraved and Silver Accented European Percussion Folding Trigger Screw Barr
Screw on bronze barrel, with the muzzle decorated with a pair of raised relief chiseled grotesque heads. No makers marks are visible on the frame, with a scene of a bird in a field on the left, fish head hammer and scroll and floral work overall. Smooth bag shaped grip, with a head on the butt, silver wire scroll inlay, silver inscription plate and accents. Writer believes this highly ornate pistol to have been for the Oriental trade

Fine. The barrel shows the start of a fine aged patina, with traces of silver in the protected areas. Bright frame, with some mild spotting and handling marks. Grip is good, with a few small cracks. Mechanically good.
