Unusual Long Barreled Swiss Model 1929 Contract Luger Pistol in 9 m/m Caliber

This is a very unique example of a model 1929 Swiss Bern Luger that has been fitted with an unusually long standard profile luger barrel chambered in 9 mm. These were the last Swiss Lugers produced and have the distinctive, straight grip frame angle with the dulled blue finish. The barrel is correctly stamped with the serial number on the shoulder at the breech end and has also been fitted with a standard Swiss style front sight. It has the smooth toggle knobs, with the standard "S" marked safety area and "GELADEN" marked extractor. This specific serial number falls into the end of the commercial contract serial number range and has the commercial "P" serial number prefix. These Lugers have the distinctive dark brown checkered plastic grips with the mold numbers/marks on the outside of each grip panel. This Luger is complete with one original Swiss marked nickel plated magazine with the dark brown plastic base.

Very fine with 95% of the dark matte blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The initial "B" is crudely scratched into the side plate. The grips are excellent with nice distinct checkering on both sides. An unusual Luger in a very desirable caliber.
