<td width="100%">
Exactly how rare this Union Civil War Token is I can't tell you. In my research the majority of saloon tokens I find are Indian heads. This token was purchased the very best estate sale that I have ever attended. It was held in Spencer, VA and one generation after another lived in the family homeplace. A date was inscribed on the chimney of the house 1798. The token is in good shape. There are no major nicks or deep cuts. All words are readable. One side says "Second Annual Fair Held June 15, 1863." The opposite side reads "Union Volunteer Refreshment Saloon Instip May 27, 1861." It is authentic and clearly dated. Be sure to check out the other listings for "Sisters Three Limited." We are a new store to the Go Antiques network and will be listing many more items in the coming weeks. We offer pottery, NC Pottery, Pepsi bottles and collectibles, glassware, and sundry items from various estate sales. Check out the pair of metal candelabra, radio, and advertising items that are currently listed. We also specialize in Radko, Polonaise, and Enesco collectibles.
