This is one of the most unusual lamps! This certainly dates to the very early part of the 20th century when electricity was first installed in more affluent homes. The lamp has 3 arched arms that terminate into six leaves that surround the light socket. All the leaves and sockets are intact. Each leaf has an amber drop hanging from it. This polychrome lamp has great colors of gold, green and red. The center is reticulated and holds the clear glass epergne. I am sure this is not the original, as it is not from the same period. I believe it was manufactured by the Roberts Lamp Company,Chicago, Illinois. Judging from the light sockets and the character of the lamp. There are no markings. This came with what looks to be period light bulbs. There is an on/off switch on front of the base. It is in need of a little restoration, One arm is loose and will need to be soldered , It stays in place with the epergne in the middle., and it will need to be rewired. The finish is in very good condition. These lamps are very hard to find and are really fascinating pieces. The lamp measures 17" tall and 15" wide from arm to arm. I also have two mantle lamps that are a very close match to this one.
Please feel free to browse our entire inventory, Just click the "Shop Home" icon at the top left of this page.
Always happy to combine shipping to save you money.
