Biography
Moshe Kupferman, Painter. b. 1926, Poland. 1941 Exiled with his family to camps in the Urals and in Germany. Immigrated 1949. Studies: 1973 Courses with Zaritsky and Stematsky Prizes: 1972 Sandberg Prize from Israel Museum, Jerusalem; 1996 Sussman Prize for Paintings of the Shoah, Yad Vashem, Jerusalem; 1998 Prize for Printing, Tel Aviv Museum; 2000 Israel Prize, together with Michael Gross and Micha Bar Am. A founder of Kibbutz Lochmei Hagettaot of which he is a member. Died in 2003.
