Pre-Stamp Cover, 1853, Steamer Letter, Alexandria to Agra via Calcutta, dispatched postmark seal in a concentric circular form of Black ink is applied that reads as “ALEXANDRIA | JU 17 | 1853”, Alexandria is a Mediterranean port city in Egypt. The letter is addressed to Ali Ilemo e of Mo Sig Monsignor Pactaro East | Vescovo and Almira vie Aglico | Agra, Indostan. The letter arrived at “CALCUTTA” and a transit postmark of Black ink is seen in a four-line compartment that reads “CALCUTTA | STEAM LETTER | 1853 ʎʅnɾ 14 | Bearing 8 | 10 | 1-2”, value is handwritten.  Calcutta postmark is type S22 of Giles but the middle compartment is open on the right side, therefore it may be Unrecorded. An uncommon interesting fact is observed on this seal, the month “July is inverted” or upside down that reads “. ʎʅnɾ instead July.” The letter was delivered at “AGRA” and bears a stamp in Red ink on a two-compartment rectangular box, that reads “July 1 ___” in the lower compartment, the upper compartment is not clearly readable, unrecorded type, in excellent condition, Extremely Rare.
