K98 action, Hermann Schneider marked barrel with ramped blade front sight and fixed iron rear sight. The chamber markings have been replaced with a matte oval with light floral scroll engraving around it. A partial Nazi eagle proof is visible over a "++ / N". The top of the barrel at the breech is marked "7 x 64". The top rear of the receiver has the same engraving pattern. A ddx ZF4 scope is mounted on a commercial side rail mount. The floor plate is engraved with a deer in a wooded scene, amid floral scroll engraving, with the same pattern on the trigger guard. Butter knife bolt handle, safety mounted on the left side of the stock, adjustable double set triggers, and mounted with a one piece walnut pistol grip stock with a horn forend, checkered wrist, cheekpiece, black plastic checkered Walther buttplate and sling swivels.

Condition: Partially refinished, the receiver, with 95% blue finish remaining. The barrel has a smooth brownish patina with some streaks of the original blue finish remaining. The remaining metal surfaces retain 98% original blue finish. The stock is very good with a few overall scattered minor dents and scratches. The scope is fair with 25% original finish remaining, with a silver gray on the balance, and some minor surface oxidation. The optics are very cloudy. The action is fine.
