Unmarked English Target Percussion Pistol with Long Barrel
This is an example of an English target pistol or buggy pistol with low blade front and two leaf rear sights on an unmarked barrel that features a decorative twist steel pattern. The lock, fish sculpted hammer, upper tang, bolster, and trigger guard feature a scroll engraving. The lock has no maker markings. Iron mountings with iron button head ramrod. Stock has a single barrel wedge, blank initial German silver inlay behind the upper tang, and checkering on the grip.

Serial Number: NSN

Good. The barrel retains much of the twist steel pattern with a smooth gray patina. The action has a smooth gray patina and the trigger guard has a mottled brown patina. Weak engraving on the trigger guard with the remaining components retaining a clear engraving. The period varnished stock is fine with the exception of a few minor gashes in the grip area and some minor dings and scratches overall. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically fine.
