Estimate: $850 - 1300
There are no visible makers or any other markings on the rifle. Each barrel gauges at about 44 with the left barrel smooth bore and the right rifled. The solid rib is fitted with a silver blade front sight and a fixed open rear sight in a crudely cut slot. The original rear sight slot has been filled and ahead of the added slot appears to be signs of the start to cut another slot. The rifle is mounted with a half straight grip stock with a silver forend cap, trigger guard, buttplate, wedge escutcheons, thumb oval and eagle overlay on the cheekpiece. The right side of the buttstock has a brass patch box. One of the ramrod pipes is silver, the other iron. Both have been re-soldered. Complete with a wooden ramrod.
