Unmarked American percussion pepperbox type trap pistol in very good original condition, circa mid 19th century. The barrel group is approx 30 cal and 6 shot which all fire at once when trigger releases plunger which isattached to a spring mechanism. The rear original of frame and front of barrel show attachment loops for setting trap. The pistol measures 8“overall the cyl 1-1/2”. The metal is very good with 50-70% blue andthe grips are also very good just small loss at left toe. Last sold Richard K. Bourne catalogue. Est.;$600-$1,200.
