Possibly used as a sniper rifle, this percussion bench rifle has no visible maker markings. The extra heavy barrel has a false muzzle, an iron bench rest attached via a screw on the underside, and a 34" long unmarked sighting tube (no optics). The sighting tube has an adjustable base threaded to the upper tang. Double set triggers and straight grip stock with a crescent iron buttplate. There are no provisions for a forearm.
BBL: 29 inch round
Stock: walnut
Gauge: 40 Perc
Finish: blue

Serial Number: NSN
Condition: Good as partially refinished. The rifle has a smooth brown patina with mild spotting overall. The rear half of the lock plate has been cleaned and "touched up" with browning solution. The buttplate has some minor pitting with some deeper pitting on the heel. The stock is very good with some minor dings and scratches, along with a minor crack near the toe. The sighting tube has been buffed and has an aged (possibly applied) blue finish. Mechanically good.
