Unknown Artist - Action Jackson Coloring Book Cover Original Art (Artcraft, 1973).
Unknown Artist - Action Jackson Coloring Book Cover Original Art (Artcraft, 1973). Action Jackson was one of the last gasps of the Mego line of action figures, after they had lost the license to the world's greatest superheroes (Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Aquaman, etc.) with which they had made their name in the late '60s/early '70s. AJ was a minor hit for the company, even expanding into ancillary merchandise such as coloring books. Offered here is the vibrant cover art to a 1973 Action Jackson coloring book, as AJ rescues a stranded mountaineer with his strap-on helicopter pack. We have not been able to track down the artist behind this piece, but it is colorful and eye-catching, and would make a great addition to any Action Jackson collection. The artwork measures 12.25" x 16", with an image area of 8.75" x 11.5", which is almost exactly the size it was printed in the final book. The artwork is in Excellent condition, with some blunting at the corners and tape stains/damage across the top edge. Also included in this lot is a VG copy of the printed coloring book, very clean with no colored-in pages.

Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Since eBay bids are not shown to us until we open the lot on the floor, we treat those bids just like floor bids. In most cases the floor responds before the eBay bid is presented to us, due to Internet lag time, so for consistency we have made it a policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie eBay live bids. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
