<B>United States 44 Star Flag.</B></I> A nice American flag from the 1891-1896 period measuring 3' x 6'. The flag is constructed of wool with a separate blue wool canton and screened on stars and stripes. Stenciled on the hoist end is "Patented Apr. 26th 1870 AMERICAN ENSIGN 6 FT". Three brass grommets at the hoist end facilitate raising the flag. There are a few minor holes present in the body of the flag and some tattering at the fly end, else very good condition. The 44th star represents the state of Wyoming.
