Please notice the sophisticated interlocking pattern in the border, which is quite rare and unusual to come across in a village made piece. These lovely pieces are woven in the remote mountainous areas of Karabak. It is quite intriguing to see such sophistication in design woven painstakingly into an art underfoot as such.
