Unique antique blackpowder Colt SAA revolver, .32 cal., 6” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, pearl grips, #122545. This gun is in overall fine condition showing 75% original blue finish and approx. 75% original casecolors on the frame and hammer, fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings with the .32 cal. on the left front trigger guard bow crisp and stamped over a lighter .45 cal. marking; grips are beautifully thick andiridescent with slight old loss to the bottom rear toe of the right grip and repaired areas on the bottom of the left grip; accompanied by a factory letter indicating .32/c caliber, 6” barrel, blue finish, Rubber stocks shipped to Hartley and Graham in New York on June 3, 1887, one gun in shipment. Also included with this lot is a three page letter from noted Colt collector and historian, William Gilbert covering hisresearch on this gun and indicating his conclusion that after thorough examination of the gun, the barrel length was exactly 6” and the cylinder had a double ring inside the cylinder wall indicative of a .32-20
