Unique and rare color fine silk blend Persian-Pak Tabriz Rug. 100% natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure silk, finest baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This is a strikingly lustrous all-over shah-Abbasi floral design over a breathtaking Williamsburg blue color background with pure silk highlights. The expression "all-over" is referred to rugs with a pattern spread out throughout the rug, where the design repeats itself over and over again. The advantage is that furniture can be placed anywhere on the rug without interrupting the pattern. The crisp and well defined curve-linear design is a testament to the fine weave and the artistic workmanship. Please notice the glowing silk highlights that give this piece a three dimensional character. Where a typical rug is limited to a range of twelve and sixteen colors, this beautiful piece features more than twenty eight different colors, creating an exquisite tapestry of colors that is feast for the eyes. This lovely piece is masterfully hand woven, knot by knot, and has about 180 knots per square inch and it is very well packed. It takes over three years to weave this beauty.
