The border and floral scroll engraved lock plate is marked "E.F. 1842". Consignor notes state that it is Dutch (Writer feels it is quite possibly of Spanish origin). The back action has an animal style sculpted hammer. The sights, trigger guard, buttplate and single barrel band are brass. The full length stock has a cheekpiece, checkering on the forearm, and carved floral scrollwork on the sides of the buttstock and around the barrel tang and trigger guard.

Condition: Very good. The barrel and lock plate have a mottled gray patina showing some very scattered light pitting. The brass has a smooth patina. The stock is very fine with some minor handling marks and some chipping around the lock with re-cut checkering. Mechanically fine.
