This example was manufactured in early 1925. The barrel is stamped "SA/flaming bomb/9-24" behind the standard front sight. The muzzle has the star marking and the star gauge number "D/244" underneath the forearm. The rear sight does not have the 2,850 yard volley notch. The "W L/3" marked bolt is polished bright, is electro penciled "67268" on top of the bolt body, has a headless cocking piece and a reversed safety. Mounted on a uniquely carved walnut pistol grip stock with a checkerboard pattern on the forearm with floral scroll around the outside edge, a bullseye on the front of the wrist and an eagle on each side of the wrist. The stock does not have any visible cartouches of proofs, it has two reinforcing bolts and a cupped checkered steel buttplate. With a muzzle cover, a rear sight cover and a leather claw sling.
