A direct predecessor of the 38H pistol, this Model 1930 was produced with a slide and frame consisting of Duralumin, an early form of age-hardened aluminum alloy which would see extensive use in airship and airplane production, with the other components being blue or nickel plated steel. Fixed sights, with the legend "ORIGINAL-DURALUMIN" on the left side of the frame and slide, with the makers address, trademark, and caliber markings on the left side of the slide, "PATENT" on the reverse, and checkered grips with caliber markings in a banner at the top and the Sauer monogram at the bottom. Also included is an advertisement flyer from Gustav Genschow & Co for an upgrade kit that allows the installation of a flare launcher on the pistol, as well as a manual for a different model of Sauer pistol, both in German.
