Includes a rotating round wood pedestal with notched live edge, cut down flintlock Kentucky rifle, small horn powder flask, reproduction brass lock plate marked “J Parker/gunsmith”, period leather possible bag with replaced strap, small patch knife with leather necklace sheath, and an engraved brass plaque on wood riser that reads “Kentucky Rifle Sculpture/In the style of Simon Lauck/Winchester, Va. 1760-1815”. This rifle shares attributes found on Simon Lauck’s rifles, including: incised swirl/scroll carved stock, inlaid oval escutcheon on the top of the wrist, inlaid "hurricane" engraved escutcheon on the cheek piece, inlaid fancy brass plate under the cheek piece which holds a twisted steel pick, ornate brass patch box with engraving, engraved fancy brass triggerguard and curved brass buttplate with heel & toe plates. A Lauck rifle, very similar to this one, is pictured on page 118 of "Gunsmiths of Virginia" by Whisker.
