Extremely rare! 4 1/2 inches. The spoon handle has "Denver, Colorado." This is the only agate spoon bowl in the entire collection. Probably made by HH Tammen of Denver, circa 1895. Tammen advertised some of his hand carved agate spoons at the Chicago World's Fair. Tammen's advertising pamphlet reveals that Tammen worked with several kinds of banded agates; red and white banded and black and white banded agate. He also made objects with Tigereye, but one of his specialties was green moss agate. Interestingly, his most expensive products were made with Tigereye. City: Denver State: Colorado Date: c1895 ID# 37622
