This pinfire revolver sword has no maker markings but is possibly German, circa 1860-1870. It has a 17 1/2 inch single fuller blade. The revolver has a loading gate that pivots downward to expose the cylinder chamber and works in double action only. The guard and pommel are floral engraved German silver. A single screw secures the checkered scales. OAL: 25 inches. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection
BBL: 3 1/4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 7.65 mm pinfire
Finish: bright
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: NSN
Condition:
About good. Overall the metal surfaces have a bright appearance. The front plate to the revolver has been refinished. The German silver is fine with a clear engraving. The scales are fair with a large chuck of wood missing from the right scale, some chipping, and some wear in the re-cut checkering. Action needs work as the cylinder is out of time.
