Manufactured in 1905, this is a desirable example of a historic Colt Sheriff's Model revolver that was shipped to the Copper Queen mine in Bisbee, Arizona (this is truly a unique find in that not only is it a rare variation of a Colt Single Action Army, it also is documented to a famous Old West mining company). The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address, "45 COLT" on the left side and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The Colt triangle "VP" proof is marked on the upper left front of the trigger guard with "5" on the left rear and "3" assembly number on the loading gate. All nickel finish, blade front and frame notch rear sights, and fitted with a replaced pearl grip with carved buffalo head on the right side. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, nickel finish, buffalo head carved pearl grip and that it was shipped as 1 of 2 to the Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Co. Bisbee, Az. on October 6, 1905.
