In part: “We…was ushered at once into the room occupied by President Lincoln, he arose from a seat along side of table desk covered with papers, and met Judge Black with extended hand, evidently pleased for President Lincoln, said Judge, is this young soldier one of my boys? I was introduced, the President placing his hand on my shoulder, so you are one of my boys, and invited me to be seated.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds. Worman served through the whole war, including in the Battle of Gettysburg, and was mustered out with the rank of major.
