Union Officer's Kepi of the 5th New Hampshire
Union Officer's Kepi of the 5th New Hampshire Volunteers - Gettysburg. The dark blue kepi from the 5th New Hampshire Volunteer infantry, a unit that fought at Gettysburg, is in very good condition. With the "N.H." and the number "5" on the outside of the kepi in gold bullion thread, the cap is accented by the gold cord at the black leather visor secured by two beautiful New Hampshire buttons. The trim at the bottom of the blue wool cap is a gold felt band between two purple bands, giving this cap a distinctive appearance.

Inside the kepi is a 1¼” leather sweatband that is completely intact. The fine black silk lining bears the maker's mark of W. A. Raymold of New York City. The lining is torn at the back which reveals the quality construction of this kepi. This is a fine example of a Civil War kepi, a distinctive one in overall very good condition.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Smal (view shipping information)
