<B>Union General George McClellan Framed <I>Carte de Visite</B></I>.</B></I> The image is matted, with the visible portion of the CDV measuring 2.25 x 3.75. The entire piece is framed to an overall size of 7.75" X 9.75". A brass nameplate underneath the image reads GENERAL GEORGE McCLELLAN / USA 1826-1885. The image is the work of prolific Civil War photographer E & H. T. Anthony. McClellan was a major general during the American Civil War. He organized the famous Army of the Potomac and served briefly (November 1861 to March 1862) as the general-in-chief of the Union Army.
