Delicately color tinted and gilt Grafenthal, Thuringia, Germany bisquit porcelain Dandy figure with the manufacturer mark of Unger, Schneider Cie. <BR><BR>Founded in 1861 producing superior figurals in delicate porcelain and handmade with attention to detail. Young lad, superb in period garb, measures a stout 15 5/8 inches high. Holding a pipe in one hand, and tipping his feathered cap in another, with brilliant gold buttons to his otherwise white chest coat, knicker cuffs, belt, boot tips and also accenting his sash tips. He stands upon a rock bridge covered in grape vine. One cluster of grapes exhibits a high lustering with just a hint of opalescent color.<BR><BR>Incised pre-1939 mark with impressed number 8858.<BR><BR>
