<B>Undated 25C Clad Washington Quarter--Double Struck Die Cap--MS65 PCGS.</B></I> A quarter (not the present lot) failed to eject from the dies. A newly fed planchet (to become the present lot) was then struck between the obverse die and the previously struck coin, causing a brockage reverse. The present piece then stuck to the obverse die, and was further struck by a series of fed planchets (not included) that blocked the reverse die, expanded the brockage image, thinned the piece, and forced a cap of metal around the obverse die. Finally, the die cap partly ejected but was struck once more, about 50% off center toward 5:30.
