<B>Undated (1855-1860) Hawaii-Waterhouse Token XF40 PCGS.</B></I> Medcalf 2TE-1. John T. Waterhouse founded the first of his two Honolulu stores in 1851. The Waterhouse token is the earliest known Hawaiian token, and because it was struck in soft pewter, it is "virtually impossible to find above EF condition," per Medcalf. This cream-gray example is sharply struck and lightly hairlined with a cluster of marks beneath the beehive.
