A paperback book containing all six issues was released on July 17th 2012. The comic features an original story written by Joshua Williamson. The comics tell an original story. The story was penned by Joshua Williamson, with Sergio Sandoval serving as penciller. The story is designed not to directly tie in with any of the games, making it easier for those who haven't played the games to enjoy the comics. Williamson has confirmed that he worked with Naughty Dog in the creation of the comics. Drawn by famed Spanish artist Sergio Sandoval. Sergio made his debut in the early 1990s drawing comic-books and covers for Comics Forum (Spain). Nowadays, he combines his work in comics with that of conceptual artist in the film world. He has collaborated with Guillermo del Toro on several major films: The Devil’s Backbone, Hellboy, Hellboy II: Golden Army and Pan’s Labyrinth. He has also worked for top-level international publishers on both sides of the Atlantic: Planeta DeAgostini (Thännhauser limited series), DC Comics (Deus Ex limited series, Superman: DCUO Legends, Batman: Legends of The Dark Knight digital, Uncharted limited series, Arrow digital and others), Random House Mondadori (Ranko Kameran) and Madefire.
