Unbelievably Spectacular Beautiful Fine Part Silk Persian Tabriz Rug. 100% Natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure silk and highest quality hand spun baby lambs wool pile on cotton foundation. This is a striking all-over floral Tabriz design over an absolutely rare and captivating soft taupe color background. The expression all-over design refers to patterns or motifs spread through out a Rug, so that the design repeats itself over and over again. The advantage to this type of pattern is the fact, that pieces of furniture can be placed anywhere on the Rug without interrupting the design or covering a central medallion. The crisp and well defined curve-linear design is a testament to the fine weave and the artistic workmanship. Where a typical Persian Rug is limited to twelve and sixteen colors, this lovely piece features more than thirty two different colors, creating an exquisite tapestry of colors that are feast for the eyes. This piece is masterfully woven, knot by knot, and it has about 160 knots per square inch. It would take well over four years to weave and create this remarkable piece. Please notice that also attesting to the fine weave is the fact that the back of this Rug looks as good as the front. This Rug has a very lush pile and due to its highly packed weave is rather heavy. It is noteworthy that, in order to create certain saffron colors, natural saffron has been used in dying process. Creases are due to fold and not a defect. Size: 12 feet 3 inches X 9 feet.
