Ulysses S. Grant Manuscript Document Signed "U.S. Grant", two pages, 10.5" x 15.25", Washington, D.C., December 28, 1871. It's hard to imagine, but there was a time when a sitting American president could be bothered with a matter as trivial as a horse theft. This document grants horse thief John Wilson a "full and unconditional pardon" for his crime since he had, in Grant's opinion, served sufficient time in which to contemplate his transgression. A white paper Presidential Seal is affixed to the document. Splits along folds and a complete separation of the lower third of the document. Even light toning with Grant's signature standing out in a distinctive violet ink.

Important notice:</
