Ub Iwerks - "Steamboat Willie" Animation Production Drawing Original Art (Disney, 1928). Ub Iwerks, Walt Disney's right-hand man, would lead the spearhead of the Disney empire -- sometimes from out front, sometimes from behind the scenes. It was Iwerks who helped create Mickey Mouse, and whose ingenious skills helped make Disneyland and Walt Disney World a reality. "Steamboat Willie," the first Mickey Mouse cartoon with sound, was largely Iwerks' work. This original production drawing of Mickey playing a set of cow's teeth to the tune of "Turkey in the Straw," is from Scene #30. Rendered in graphite on two-hole-punch paper measuring 12" x 9.5". There is some paper tanning, and light edge wear; otherwise the condition is Very Good.

Shipping: Small Flat (view shipping information)
