UZANNE, Octave.- Dictionnaire bibliophilosophique, typologique, iconophilesque, bibliopégique et bibliotechnique à l'usage des bibliognostes, des bibliomanes et des bibliophilistins. Paris, Imprimé pour les Sociétaires de l'Académie des Beaux Livres, Bibliophiles contemporains, en l'an de grâce bibliomaniaque 1896. In-8°. Broché (sous étui postérieur).
Sommet de la production bibliophilique de l'époque. Imprimé sur un papier filigrané orné d'un décor floral par Léon Rudnicki, de la signature d'Uzanne, du monogramme du dessinateur, des monogrammes de l'auteur et de la société des bibliophiles, etc. Le texte est serti d'un cadre à plusieurs motifs floraux alternés tiré en noir sauf aux premières pages où il est aquarellé. Le Dictionnaire, dont les entrées, de "Abonné" à "whatman (papier)", sont imprimées en rouge, est illustré de 31 eaux-fortes (parfois en couleurs) par Oswald Heidbrinck.
Une magnifique couverture de brochage, exécutée en lithographie dans une déclinaison de tons verts par Gabriel de Feure, pare l'édition. Elle est protégée par une jaquette en papier parme micacé imprimé d'une composition en noir par Paul Berthon et le tout est enveloppé dans une chemise en simili parchemin orné d'une plaque gaufrée en noir bleuté et or dûe à E. Belville.
Edition originale et unique tirée à seulement 176 ex. identiques (ex. n° 152 pour Henri Vever).
En excellent état de conservation, rare dans cet état (les ex. brochés sont plus recherchés que les reliés).

After full payment, buyers are kindly requested to take away their purchases immediately after the auction or at the bookshop the next Tuesday after the auction 230 av. Louise, from 2 pm until 6 pm.
Goods will be send only after customers’ payment.
Packing and dispatching are entirely at the buyer’s own expense.
Books whose price exceed 100 (EUR) will be send by registered post.
Payment Details:
Payment will be made in Belgian Francs. We do not accept credit cards neither cheques whose total amount exceed 200 (EUR) or cheques not validated for higher sum.
Terms of sale require buyers to pay immediately for their purchases, which means that lots will be released to them only when full and cleared payment as been received by us
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer has to pay a buyer’s premium of 21%, V.A.T. inclusive, all strictly in cash and in Ero's (EUR)
In case of original art and if the principles of the author’s rights are applicable, an extra 4% must be paid on each hammer price of at least 1250 EUR
All items are assumed to be in good condition unless otherwise stated. Buyers are kindly invited to carry out their own inspection of the lots they want to buy. All items to be auctioned are on view for several days prior to the sale.
Returning an item after the striking of the hammer will not be accepted, whatever the reason put forward. Those items bought on order must be inspected within 8 days after receipt. Any return after this term will be refused.
All items of the catalogue with the mention « n.c. » (non collationné = not inspected) are not subject to return. Neither are those sold in lots (two items or more) works consisting in multiple volumes and periodicals or series.
If you cannot attend the auction, we can execute written bids on your behalf. To ensure a satisfactory service, it is necessary to make arrangements for the services at least one day before the sale.
On every purchase Belgian law only is applicable, and all cases of dispute are exclusively to the competence of the Brussels Chamber.
