Lot of 4 photos. Each photograph is mounted on the same beige colored matte measuring 10 5/8" x 13 3/4", with two pictures per side. 1) Measures 7 7/8" x 5". A photo of the Mormon Temple. Beautiful surroundings of trees, and intricate walkways. According to Utah.com, the construction of the Mormon Temple was built with granite blocks and began in 1853 and took 40 years to finish. The way the church was built was very symbolic, the design and structure all had meaning. LDSChurchTemples.com stated that, "The three towers on the east side represent the First Presidency of the Church and the Melchizedek Priesthood; the twelve pinnacles rising from the towers represent the Twelve Apostles. The three towers on the west side represent the Presiding Bishopric and the Aaronic Priesthood; the twelve pinnacles rising from the towers represent the High Council." Medium contrast, high focus. 2) Measures 7 7/8" x 5". Salt Lake City and County Building. The construction of the building was finished in 1894 with its "Richard Romanesque architecture", and was also the very first building in the world to have been retrofitted with bas isolators to withstand earthquakes. A few people can be seen in the photo, towards the front of the building is a horse drawn wagon with what looks like two people sitting at the back. Medium contrast, high focus. 3) Measures 8" x 4 7/8". A photo of an exterior view of Salt Lake's Mormon Tabernacle. According to various sources, the structure of the building was designed by Brigham Young. The idea of the dome shaped building was so that nothing could be in the way of the peoples view, like pillars. Its importance was that it was much larger than an ordinary chapel for people to gather. Medium contrast, high focus. 4) Measures 8" x 4 7/8". An interior photo of the Mormon Tabernacle. Various rows lined up, with over 11,000 hand carved golden pipe organs at one end - one of the largest organs in the world. High contrast, medium focus. Overall lot condition is very good.
