USA Two very Old Copper Buttons, Eagle, Stag Hooks removed Used as Tokens ??
The first has a wreath at the edge, a thick circle, and a standing eagle, left, The reverse reads SPORTING NEW DESIGN in a circle 18mm, 4.6 grams. The second features a stag, seated. The reverse reads EXTRA SUPERIOR QUALITY in a circle. 15 mm, 4.4 grams. From the style of the reverse texts, both pieces appear to be produced by the same company.

É.-U. Deux très vieux boutons de cuivre, Eagle, crochets enlevés. Utilisés comme jetons ??
Le premier a une guirlande sur le rebord, un cercle épais et un aigle debout à gauche. On lit au revers SPORTING NEW DESIGN dans un cercle 18mm, 4.6 grammes. Le second présente un cerf, assis. On lit au revers EXTRA SUPERIOR QUALITY dans un cercle 15 mm, 4.4 grammes. Se basant sur le style des textes sur les revers, on peut avancer que les deux boutons ont été produits par la même compagnie.

A buyer’s premium of twenty (20) % will be added to the hammer price of each lot and is payable by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The G.S.T. of 5 % for Canadian residents and the Q.S.T. of 9.975 % for Quebec residents ( or the H.S.T. for residents of the participating provinces) are also applicable to all successful bids as part of the purchase price.
Lots are sold to the highest bidder. In case of dispute, the decision of the auctioneer will be final. Lots should be picked up immediately after the sale. Purchasers must pay for their lots on delivery. An interest charge of two (2) % per month will be charged to buyers on all overdue accounts. Payment by cash, cheque, money-order (CAN or US currency) and credit cards Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Payment using Paypal are possible with a 2% upcharge.
All bids are in Canadian funds. Bids in US funds will be converted at the prevailing exchange rate.
Forwarding charges, insurance and registration will be charged to the buyer. Shipment is executed at the buyer’s risk and responsibility.
Should a purchaser wish to submit an item for expertization, the auctioneer must be notified and the lot paid at the time of sale. If the lot proves to be not as described, the purchaser’s money shall be repaid in full.
Material described as having defects are not returnable on account of condition. No lots may be returned by persons who have had the opportunity to examine the material before the sale. Any returns for whatever reason must be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of lot(s). Champagne Auctions are obligated to pay all consignment lots within this amount of time.
The auctioneer reserves the right to group two (2) or more lots and also to withdraw any lot or lots from sale.
The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the foregoing conditions of sale. Bids will be executed by the auctioneer. Bidding increments are at the discretion of the auctioneer.
Mail, fax, phone or online bids are entered on a first bid received basis. In the event of a tie bid, the first bid received has priority. E-mail bids are accepted only from regular customers or if a credit card number is supplied.
