Certified By PCGS as PR genuine, AU details, surface plated, J-1636. The only problem with this piece is a small rough spot on the obverse edge, halfway between the 12 and 3 o'clock positions. We can find no other reason for the lack of grade designation. Weight is proximatly 4 grams, as opposed to 6.5 for the gold strikings. While more than a dozen copper strikings are known of this design, only four or five are gilt. Whether these were gilt at the mint before striking, or afterwards, is not easily determined. In any case, this is a piece of great rarety, missing from most serious collections. While not perfect it is most attractive, and a chance to aquire the elusive Stella for less than a six figure sum.
